Activities
Renesse
This cozy tourist village is located on Schouwen-Duiveland and buzzes all year round. There is a large supermarket, cozy tourist shops and a wide range of restaurants.
Renesse beach
The beach of Renesse is within walking distance of your holiday accommodation. This beach is a spacious and quiet part of our North Sea coast. You’ll find kites in the air and sometimes a windsurfer comes by. In the beach pavilions at the dune crossings you can go for a snack and a drink, but also for a delicious meal and with a bit of luck you can enjoy the sunset.
On the beach it is also possible to buy beach toys for children. Even in winter a number of pavilions are open, especially in the weekends. Great if you have had a long beach walk and just want to relax enjoying a drink or a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream, while you can watch the seals resting on the sandbar in the sea. So bring your binoculars!
Brouwersdam
Here you can find waterskiing, jet skiing and also many windsurfers prefer this spot. In addition, the marinas provide numerous opportunities for sailing. On the outside of the dam is a large beach and the North Sea is conquered by windsurfers and kite surfers. Much is being sailed on the inside of the dam on the Grevelingenlake. Parking is possible along the entire length of the dam so that a place can always be found close to the water. Many people come together to the Brouwersdam to enjoy a beautiful sunset.
Sport fishing
Renesse is a perfect place for sport fishing. Wherever you are, there are always some magnificent fishing waters in the vicinity for both the saltwater and freshwater fishermen. Here you can find any fish that can be caught in the Netherlands. During summer there are eels, plaice, flounders, soles, mackerels, garfish and basses, while during winter there are plenty of possibilities of catching cods, dabs and flounders.

Diving
The waters in the vicinity of Renesse are extremely popular for divers. The Grevelingenmeer, isolated from the North Sea, the open Oosterschelde and the North Sea itself (for the more experienced divers) offer an unprecedented beauty under water. There are a few tens of diving spots on Schouwen-Duiveland.
Hiking
Because of the splendid nature the Kop van Schouwen is a very popular area for hikers. The weather is pleasant in this region, because here the sun shines considerably more often than in the rest of the country, so that you can enjoy a relaxing or sportive hike throughout the whole year. Many paths take you through dunes and woods, and if you are a member of the Dutch Natuurmonumenten association the protected nature reserves are free for you to enter, leading you to areas where the climate and inhabitants such as deer, rabbits and countless bird species are left untouched.
